This is a Japanese Yanagibas Shushi knife I made from an old Nicholson lathe file. Old Nicholson files are made from 1095 high carbon steel. I annealed the file and then ground out this knife followed by an oil quench and temper. It is honed on a traditional 6000 grit wet stone and is razor sharp.
